2. Upon visiting the website

This website is hosted by an external service provider (host). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the host's servers. We use the following host: Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. This means that visits to our website are processed or routed through Vercel's servers. The data associated with your visit to our website is also transmitted to Vercel. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Website from which the access occurs (referrer URL)
  • Browser used and possibly the operating system of your computer, as well as the name of your access provider

The aforementioned data is processed by us for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection setup of the website,
  • Ensuring comfortable use of our website,
  • Evaluating system security and stability, and
  • for further administrative purposes.

Depending on the server location, this data may also be transferred to the United States. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Vercel, including the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. You can find Vercel's privacy policy at https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy. Data transmission from your device to Vercel's servers takes place exclusively via an encrypted connection (TLS/HTTPS). The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest arises from the purposes of data collection listed above.

3. Data transfer

Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We only share your personal data with third parties if:

  • you have expressly consented to it in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR,
  • the transfer is necessary for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in not transferring your data,
  • in the event that there is a legal obligation for the transfer in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR, and
  • this is legally permissible and necessary for the processing of contractual relationships with you in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR.

4. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device and enable an analysis of your use of the website. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case, not all functions of this website may be fully utilized.

5. Page functionality: LinkedIn plugins

On our website, plugins from the social network of the following provider are used: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. These plugins enable users to directly interact with content on the social network. To protect your data when visiting our website, the plugins are initially deactivated and integrated using a so-called „2-Klick“- bzw. „Shariff“ solution. This method ensures that when a page with an embedded plugin is accessed, no connection is yet established to the provider's servers. Only when you activate the plugins and thereby consent to the data transmission under Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a of the GDPR does your browser establish a direct connection to the provider's servers. In doing so, certain information, such as your IP address, details about the browser used, and your usage behavior, is transmitted to the provider and potentially further processed, regardless of whether you are logged into the social network. If you are logged into an existing user account of the provider at the time of interaction, the actions executed through the plugin may also be published in your profile and displayed to your contacts. You can revoke your consent at any time by deactivating the activated plugin with another click. However, the revocation does not affect data already transmitted. Data transmission may also occur to the following entity: LinkedIn Inc., USA. For data transmission to the USA, the provider relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which are intended to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

6. Online Survey

We offer participation in an online survey on our website in order to better understand and evaluate our target group, their needs, and the use of our services. The information you voluntarily enter in the questionnaire (e.g. answers about your preferences, free-text responses, and – if provided by you – your email address) will be processed. Participation in the survey is possible without providing an email address; entering your email address is entirely voluntary and only serves the purpose of sending you further information upon request. The legal basis for processing your survey data is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), which you provide before submitting the questionnaire. You may revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by sending an email to the contact address stated in this privacy policy.
The technical provision of the online survey and the storage of the survey data are carried out as part of hosting by Vercel (Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA) acting as our data processor. Depending on the server location, this data may also be transferred to the United States. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Vercel, including the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. You can find Vercel’s privacy policy at https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy. Data transmission from your device to Vercel’s servers takes place exclusively via an encrypted connection (TLS/HTTPS). The evaluation of the survey is carried out exclusively internally by us; the survey data will not be shared with other third parties.
If you provide your email address as part of the survey, we will use it solely for the purpose you selected. Emails sent in this context are transmitted via and stored on our mail servers hosted by STRATO AG, Otto Ostrowski Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. You can find STRATO’s privacy policy at https://www.strato.de/datenschutz/.
We generally store your survey data only for as long as necessary for the purpose described above. If you have provided your email address, we will delete it no later than 12 months after sending the results, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
